Iyan Unsworth

Iyan is a Vice President on AVP’s Fund of Funds team, focusing on primaries, secondaries, and co-investments. As the first member of the fund investing team, he has helped scale the platform, built proprietary data tools, and forged deep relationships with GPs, LPs, and founders globally.

Born in Scotland to a French mother and Scottish father, Iyan grew up between Jakarta and Houston before moving to Shanghai at 18, where he immersed himself in Mandarin and Chinese culture. This international path has shaped his ability to adapt quickly, bridge different perspectives, and build lasting global relationships.

Outside the office, Iyan is a committed amateur boxer and former taekwondo state and national champion, passions that speak to his competitive spirit and discipline. He also enjoys producing music, travelling, and following the highs and lows of being an Arsenal fan.
